Prohibited Content

  • Unverified content creators (lacking age verification)
  • Content without required consent documentation
  • Misleading marketing implying illegal activities
  • Impersonation or identity theft

Policy Violations

How to Submit a Report

General Content Reports

  1. Locate the problematic content (post, profile, or message)
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the content or profile
  3. Select "Report"
  4. Choose the reason for your report
  5. Provide details and the URL of the content
  6. Submit your report

DMCA Copyright Takedown Notice

For copyright infringement specifically, send a formal DMCA notice to:

Your DMCA notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work – Describe the work you own (e.g., "My photo from my Instagram account @username posted on January 15, 2026")
  2. Location of infringing material – Provide the exact URL(s) where the infringing content appears
  3. Your contact information – Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  4. Good faith statement – State that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or law
  5. Accuracy statement – Declare under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Your signature – Physical or electronic signature (typing your full name counts as an electronic signature)
⚠️ False Claims: Submitting a false or fraudulent DMCA claim may result in legal consequences, including liability for damages, attorney fees, and perjury charges.

Response Times

Illegal or Non-Consensual Content

We commit to addressing reports of illegal or non-consensual content within 7 business days or sooner. In many cases, such content is removed immediately upon verification.

Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

Valid DMCA takedown notices are typically processed within 1-3 business days. We'll notify you when action has been taken.

General Policy Violations

Other complaints are investigated within an appropriate timescale based on severity. We may request additional information to complete our investigation.

Takedown Process

When We Receive a Valid DMCA Notice:

  1. We review the notice for completeness and validity
  2. We remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  3. We notify the user who posted the content
  4. We provide the user with a copy of your DMCA notice (your contact info will be shared)

Content Removal

Once content is removed:

  • It is no longer visible on the platform
  • It cannot be re-posted without authorization
  • Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or terminated

Counter-Notification (For Accused Users)

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was made in error or you have authorization to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification.

Counter-Notification Requirements

Send your counter-notification to [email protected] with:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and phone number
  5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of federal court in your district
  6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice

Counter-Notification Process

  1. We receive and review your counter-notification
  2. We forward it to the original complainant
  3. If the complainant does not file a lawsuit within 10-14 business days, we may restore your content

Repeat Infringer Policy

We take intellectual property rights seriously. Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights will face escalating consequences:

  • First offense: Content removal + warning
  • Second offense: Content removal + temporary suspension
  • Third offense: Account termination

In cases of egregious or willful infringement, we may terminate accounts immediately without prior warnings.

False Reports & Bad Faith

Abuse of the reporting system undermines our ability to address legitimate complaints. Users who submit unjustified, abusive, or bad-faith reports may face:

  • Account suspension or termination
  • Loss of reporting privileges
  • Legal liability for damages
